I’m proud to announce our fifth finalist. Joseph Linaschke is in Pasadena, CA and all I can say about his work – is – WHY HAVEN’T I HEARD OF THIS GUY BEFORE? Wow he’s talented. He’s a tremendous concert photographer. His work with Seal is amazing and has won him one of the 24 spots in our competition. Normally, I shy away from photography of famous people because it tends to translate into making the photographer famous. In these situations I often ask, “If the subject were an ordinary Joe, would this work stand out?” Here the answer is a resounding YOU BETCHA!

Take a look at Joe’s work here, here and here. Congratulations to Joe. We’re going to announce the next finalist in two weeks.
