Here’s A Power User Tip For Those Using ACR/Photoshop
June 2, 2009

If you shoot RAW (and you probably should if you don’t) and you use ACR/Photoshop, here’s a power user tip.
To get the most out of your RAW files, turn your photograph into a Smart Object in Photoshop.
This provides a two-way bridge between Photoshop and ACR to your photograph.
Simply Shift-Click the OPEN command in ACR to launch an image into Photoshop as a Smart Object. When you perform your edits in Photoshop, you have the ability to return to the image in ACR by just double-clicking on the Smart Object layer icon.
