I have a Droboshare/Drobo on my network, connected to Time capsule on a gigabit ethernet. Drobo is slow - unacceptably so - when it comes to handling my iPhoto library. OS X reckons it will take over three days to copy my library to the Drobo. And when using the Drobo with a small test library over the network, it was again too slow providing the data to iPhoto. Just about any other file moves quickly, no problems.
